Monday Reflection – May 18

Our mind is the battlefield. And the enemy can interject with his thoughts; they become your thoughts when you meditate upon them.

If your mind is constantly filled with anger, shame, fear and condemnation, your emotions will follow.

Thoughts keep people trapped. Jesus came to set us free. Transformation begins when our minds are renewed by the finished work of Jesus Christ—not by pain, confusion, shame, striving or fear.

What are you feeding your mind every day?

Recognise the deception: Learn to identify Satan’s tactics. Whenever a thought brings condemnation, fear, or division, recognise it as a lie and compare it directly to what the Bible says about you and to you.

“We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” (2 Cor 10:5)

Declare the Word. When faced with temptation or doubt, use Scripture as your primary weapon, just as Jesus did in the wilderness. Don’t agree with the enemy. Speak back to him – quote scripture. Satan hates it.

Replace the lies with His truth: Whenever a negative thought enters your mind, consciously cancel it with the Blood of Jesus and replace it with God’s promises from the Bible.

Ask the Holy Spirit to constantly heal your thoughts.

Check: are they clear enough to be exposed to the whole world? If not, clean up.
