Monday Reflection – May 25

Why do we need validation from the world when GOD calls us the apple of His eyes?

Jesus would rather die for you than live without you. The comforting idea that Jesus remains, even as the world fades, marks a contrast between fleeting earthly things and the eternal, unfailing nature of His love and presence.

He literally sees the ugliest, most broken sinful version of us and HE doesn’t walk away.

How many of us people who would show us that kind of commitment? We may have some people some of the time, but even the ones who are there often, need not be around forever.

That is why getting your eyes on the Lord matters.

A beautiful promise is found in the Bible: “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You” (Isaiah 26:3)

You do not need security checks, long queues or all day waits to seek the Spirit of the Living GOD.

He created us, knows us by name and then paid the price for our sin – in a horrible, mutilating way, all the way to cross.

He didn’t walk away.

Next time you get bitter and sad about someone or something in our messed up broken world, look at the blood-stained face of Jesus. Talk to Him. Worship, praise Him.

Then pat yourself on the back and get going. His eyes are on you.

Remember each moment, that immense love which took Him to the cross.

Live your life worthy of that great calling.
