Popular Kerala actor Mammootty has tested Covid positive.
He was tested positive while working on his upcoming movie CBI -5, directed by K Madhu.
The 70-year-old actor got himself tested when he noticed the symptoms – sore throat and a mild cold.
The shooting of the movie which had been going on for two months, has been suspended for a fortnight.
The national-award winning actor is under quarantine in his Kochi residence, under the supervision of doctors.
Mammootty, known for fine portrayal of characters as well as his passion for fitness, took to social media to share the news with his fans.
In 1998, the Government of India had awarded him the Padma Shri for his contributions to the arts.
