Heavenly Father, we thank You today for the men in our lives – our fathers, grandfathers, husbands, sons, brothers, cousins, uncles, nephews and our male friends. We lift up men everywhere across the world and pray that Your Spirit may rest upon each one.
We thank You Abba Father for their love, their commitment, their countless sacrifices for us. We chose to honour them and love them today and every day.
Loving Father, thank You for sending Jesus to come as our perfect example of a godly man who demonstrated that godly living means to walk in spirit and in truth, in submission to the Holy Spirit and in total obedience to You, His Heavenly Father. We pray that they become strong in the Lord and obey the Word and not rely on their own abilities but rest in You alone.
May the beautiful character of Lord Jesus be reflected in the men in our lives and may Christian men throughout the world be godly witnesses to the truth of the gospel both in their own homes and with anyone they meet in their daily lives.
Build up the body of Christ, we pray, with an army of Christian men who will walk in love and in Your power and authority.
We pray that you will shower Your compassion upon all men who have struggled with sin or pain and are still struggling today. Heal our men with Your Blood, we pray. Turn them into living leaders of love in our homes, churches, offices and communities. We pray we can reflect the glory of Your Kingdom with them.
Righteous Father, we pray they seek YOU most of all. We pray for greater commitment to spend quality time with You.
By faith, we call for all of our men to be saved, sanctified and filled with Your Spirit. Your Word instructs that faith without works is dead, so we confess that our men will work to develop and demonstrate their Christian faith daily. Lord Jesus, we pray for men who are providers and protectors of their families. We pray for great leaders, loving husbands and devoted fathers. We confess that as they submit to Your Word, they are transformed by the renewing of their minds ,moment by moment. Lord, we decree that their belief systems and behaviour patterns reflect Your righteousness in their personal and public lives. We declare that the light of the Holy Spirit is reflected in their actions. As they fellowship with one another; others will see their good works and glorify You, our Father in heaven. Lord, we confess that Your favour surrounds our men like a shield.
Holy Spirit, we ask that You touch the hearts of our men today in a special way. Please empower them to stand always for Godly principles. Give them plans and strategies that will destroy the works of evil within our homes and outside.
Most importantly, we pray for humility and love – for our men to be Godly, bold men of courage – who are not afraid to say sorry, tackle injustice, fight nepotism, prejudice, injustice of any kind and truly love us as their own. May they not be afraid to speak their love and show it, daily with Your kind of commitment – to the end.
In the name of Jesus – the perfect example of Godly Manhood, we pray.
