Beef Steak Sandwiches

Can’t make it all the way to Philly for your favourite sandwich? We have you covered. Tender beef steak with sautéed peppers and onions make this sandwich a forever classic and you know steak sandwiches always hit the spot.

Try this top-rated beef steak sandwich that packs big flavour. It’s great for busy weeknight dinners.

Preheat a grill. Slice 4 hamburger buns or bread loaves and toast them.

Meanwhile coat 2lbs flank steaks in 2 tbs extra virgin olive oil and season liberally with 1 tsp garlic powder, salt and 2 tsp black pepper.

Add the steaks to the grill over direct heat and cook for 2 – 3 minutes on each side for medium rare/medium (depending on the thickness)

Remove steaks from the grill and thinly slice them.

Toss and fry few chopped button mushrooms and julienned bell peppers with 2 sliced onions, in olive oil.

Pile the sliced steak high on the bottom side of the bun, while generously coating the top side of the bun with mayonnaise, lettuce leaves and the fried onions, mushroom and bell peppers.

Top off the sandwich with cheese slices and serve immediately.
