When Jesus Christ came, died and resurrected to destroy the power of sin, He had to love us sinners in order to reach out to us with the power of the Holy Spirit to destroy the power of sin and set us free. Needless to say, Jesus Christ didn’t tolerate, promote, condone or approve of any sinful practice. Neither should we.
John 8:9-12 states: “And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman caught in the act of adultery, standing in the midst. When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light (of salvation, healing, deliverance) of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness (of sin, sickness, demonic oppression etc.), but shall have the light of life”.
It’s obvious that apart from sinners or unbelievers all over the places around us, in the Church and the body of Christ, many believers are also struggling with different forms of sins and NONE OF THEM SHOULD BE ELEVATED MORE THAN THE OTHER. We as ministers especially, must arise and see this as a demonic invasion to mock the gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ came to save sinners whether they are gay, fornicators, thieves or unbelievers etc.
If we hate sin that much, AND WE SHOULD, then we have been anointed with the Holy Spirit and power to DESTROY THIS WORK OF THE DEVIL HARASSING MORAL SANITY. Our intensive intercession and bold declaration and demand for repentance and the need to make Jesus Christ their lord and Saviour is the power of God to save, change and make homosexuals straight, the demon possessed and oppressed delivered, and sinners saved and righteous. We are assigned, mandated and ordained for this. What an awesome responsibility and divine privilege!
But correcting others in love and ministering to others in any capacity starts with intensive intercession for them provoking God’s love, compassion and anointing to destroy the yokes of bondage and impart deliverance, repentance and restoration.
Like Jesus Christ we must shun every form of condemnation, but must be anointed, compassionate and bold enough to love a sinner or sinful brother or sister enough to say to them to “go and sin no more” and then keep interceding for them intensely, and also help them in every way possible to break the power of sin and sinful habits from their lives. No sin has come to stay. We believers have the power of the holy spirit to break the power of sin and establish god’s righteousness here on earth, in our cities and families, one person at a time.
Galatians 6:1 states, “Dear brothers and sisters, if another Christian is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself”.
The Church is a spiritual hospital. It’s open to all types of sinners, but it’s a healing centre where God’s people should be empowered enough to minister deliverance, help and declare to sinners and sinful people to GO AND SIN NO MORE. That’s the ultimate, true, authentic and pure love of God in action. Let’s keep doing that, CHURCH! This is why Jesus Christ spent 40 days in fasting and intercession before He started His ministry, kept interceding for us while here on earth ministering, and still interceding for us at the right hand of God in heaven to KEEP BREAKING the power of sin, sickness, poverty and EVERY satanic oppression. Let’s follow Him as passionate intercessors, preachers and teachers of God’s Word, and He promised we would do greater works and see more people saved, healed, delivered and blessed than He did.
And Jesus said, ” The truth is, anyone who believes in Me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.” (John 14:12 )
