For the weary warriors out there.
The ones who are tired. And want to run away. From work, family, endless chores, parenting duties, family responsibilities, church and even from God.
Don’t focus on temporary comfort over the Eternal Comforter.
Jonah is the perfect example of someone who ran away from what God wanted him to do. He ended up in a whale’s belly, praying desperately and had to be coughed out, covered in puke.
You may think that you got the a bad deal. The grass always seems greener on the other side. But staying in the desert to be pruned and refined by God is way better than running in the opposite direction.
“That’s it, I’m done, God” moments. You’ve had them, I’ve had them. But don’t give up.
David stopped fighting twice – first he gave up fighting Saul and he lost his family. Then he stayed at home skipping the fighting and he lost his purity.
Goliath is not the first giant; he won’t be the last.
Don’t give up the fight, warrior. There are many more battles to win.
We love you and are praying for you. Jesus loves you. The Holy Spirit wants to give you a hand with whatever you are battling. Seek Him. With all your heart, soul and mind.
Run towards Jesus, not away from Him.
