Jesus was born in a manger, hung out with the poor/the marginalised and taught us to love our neighbours as ourselves.
The ‘neighbour’ may be from another church, another race, too old, too young, an atheist, a foreigner or from another faith. Loving them Christ’s way means they are FAMILY.
All of us have at least one ‘different’ friend or many friends who are family. Remember that – when evil and disunity seeps in.
God doesn’t differentiate. We shouldn’t.
There is a Pilates breed in every century, every home, organisation, society – ones who wash their hands off everything. Apathy is sin of the worst kind. All of us are responsible for everything and me for something more, as the saying goes.
Taking responsibility as a social being and acting right even in a crisis caused by someone else, that’s living the Gospel. FEEL for people, irrespective of what they believe and how different they are from you. Do not let anyone dictate to you about whom not to love – Jesus didn’t differentiate based on power or social standing, so shouldn’t you.
Pray like everything depends on your prayers and then live like everything depends on living a good life for God…and for people.
Don’t just speak about religion, live godly.
