Monday Reflection – April 6

A post Easter thought – did we spend more time talking to JESUS or preparing for Easter?

How many of our religious festivals are utilised for personal time with the Lord? How many of our festivals reflect God’s love, joy, peace and kindness? A Christian should be super charged with Christ’s love, empathy and forgiveness each time we celebrate a religious festival.

We are celebrating JESUS.

Yet, most of us may have spent more hours preparing for church, ministry, family event, Easter meal or an outing with friends, than we actually spent waiting on Jesus and worshipping Him.

It’s worse during Christmas, because then we include the holiday rush, gift shopping, wrapping, baking, frantic meal panning, tree decorating and getting the house and kids in order – before and after Christmas.

Let this Easter mark the beginning of something different.

Chances are that you already finished the Easter merriment and are back to the daily work/home grind.

Stop. Pray. Do it throughout the day.

Connect with the One who just died and rose again for you.
