Monday Reflection – July 28

Each of us have an ‘I don’t understand it’ file. Things, people, words, actions you just don’t get…sudden shocks and then the whys abound.

“Where was God when this happened?”, we ask. And “Where are people when you need them?” Where YOU put Him and them. Outside. Waiting for your love.

Next time, ASK God into the situation and ASK people for support. The first is your birth right as a child of God. The second humbles you. He who cannot forgive God or people, breaks the very bridge – which he has to walk one day, on the way to heaven.

Meanwhile, muster enough faith to run into the prayer closet. Soak in His presence. And tell Jesus – “Lord, I don’t understand this person/this situation/this trial, but I trust You. Not going to spend a minute figuring out why certain things happened/still happen, but I trust You to make something good out of it. You are a good God who has MY best interests at heart. You promised that ALL things – good and bad – will work together for MY good. You promised never to leave me or forsake me. It is a personal promise from YOU, sweet Jesus”.

That is faith. And that is the trusting attitude that God honours.

Wait on JESUS. Worship Him daily and serve Him faithfully with your life. The blessings will come. They may seem to take a long time, but they will.
