The world always complains about why God ‘permits/does not stop suffering’. But even the boat which carried Jesus faced a storm – until He intervened.
We think we suffer because of our circumstances, some person or some event. We believe that if only these things changed or rather, if only Jesus changed it, we’d be able to act right.
But the Lord wants us to become so stable in our faith that we think and act right even when none of our circumstances are good.
We want to use God to get rid of each problem. But sometimes God’s plan is for us to trust Him blindly, turn to Him and the Word daily and exercise a higher level of faith that will carry us through life’s challenges.
And that requires even greater faith than being delivered from a situation.
We marvel at God’s power that delivers us from all problems – that’s awesome.
But never, never, never overlook His power that keeps you, enables you, strengthens you and reforms you into His image.
We can face any storm (In the world you will have tribulation, but take heart, because I have overcome the world – John 16:33) if we hold on tight to God’s hand.
Holding on to Jesus does not guarantee a storm-free life, but one that rises above the storms of life. Hold on tight to JESUS.
