Monday Reflection – July 12

“Be anxious for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God”, says the Word.

It’s easy enough to practice the second part of the verse – we do have a list of requests for God daily. But The first thing the Lord said was, “Do not fret over anything”. Take that step of total surrender and LET GO first. Then pray.

You are going to get into difficulties in life. The crises of life come to all of us. The difference is if we know the Word; if we know the Spirit of God and we know how to pray correctly.

Lord, You told me, “Do not be anxious about anything,” and I’m not going to do it. I’m going to do what You told me to do. I’m bringing this problem to You and turning it over to You. Now I’m going to thank You for the answer and go about my life. You’ve got it now. You work on it while I’m awake or asleep.

We do not serve an unjust God. He’s not going to tell us to do something we can’t do. That would be unjust. “We can do it — we can cast all of our cares on Him.”

Turn it over to Him. It won’t be easy; especially if you’ve been a perennial worrier for a long time. Get in the habit of faith instead. Just release the worry habit into His hands. Surrender each worry point TODAY. Now.
