A life-size bronze crucifix was stolen from All Saints Church in Gosforth.
Police in Newcastle are appealing for information. The crucifix was stolen overnight on May 12.
The six-foot high crucifix was on display since 1965, outside the church, in a consecrated area where many ashes are buried.
