Actor Dulquer Salmaan, has tested positive for Covid, days after his father actor Mammootty shared that he was Covid positive.
Salmaan, affectionately called DQ by his fans, shared his diagnosis on Twitter: “I have just tested positive for COVID19. I’m isolating at home and have mild flu symptoms but am otherwise ok.”
The release of the 35-year-old actor’s police drama Salute, directed by Rosshan Andrrews, has been postponed due to Kerala’s spike in coronavirus cases.
“People who were in close contact with me during shoots over the last few days, please isolate and test if you notice symptoms”, he said.
He further advised his fans, “This pandemic is not over and we must stay vigilant. Please mask up and stay safe.”
Salmaan is the second child of actor Mammootty and his wife Sulfath. The popular youth icon is a recipient of four Filmfare Awards South and one Kerala State Film Award.
